71/25 Public Participation

  • Mrs Balfe attended the meeting tonight to discuss peacocks, Asking for Parish council assistance as there has been ongoing discussions regarding peacocks in the village with the number dramatically increasing. There has been a lot of complaints especially in Caunce avenue where a number of peacocks have settled permanently and causing damage to house roofs and cars, and a lot of mess on the pavement and porches etc Mrs Balfe has looked into solutions and has suggested someone that rehomes peacocks she has looked into this and has confirmed that peacocks would be rehomed unharmed. Parish councillors have agreed that it would be a good idea to re home some of the peacocks.

75/25 Police Report 

  • Police not in attendance did inform Cllr Howard that a mobile police station will be placed at the Co-op in around January, February or March. Cllr Abram mentioned that they could utilise the Hub car park if required.

76/25 Clerk’s Report/Progress Report on decisions taken at last meeting and any urgent decisions. 

  • Quote for putting the Christmas light up and taking them back down was presented and agreed.

Agreed that payments of Accounts since the last meeting are ratified and invoices now presented on the payment schedule are approved and authorised by signatories accordingly for BACS payment,

78/25  Emails / What’s App Msg Sent to Councillors September / October

  • Discussed email received regarding overgrown conker tree’s on Church Road, Clerk to send email to Cllr DeFreitas 

79/25 To receive reports and recommendations from Members representing the Council on working groups and outside bodies.

  • Covers needed for play area and gate spacing to be corrected as ROSPA report recommended Cllr Lennon is asking Mr Guzlinski
  • Cllr Abram looked into getting the broken CCTV camera repaired

  • Cllr Hames attended PPG meeting 
  • As of 1st October all GP contracts changed and online forms to be utilised.
  • Funding for the team that attended health clinics at the Hub have stopped

  1. Village issues
  • Complaints received regarding parking at Point Safety blocking the pavement completely causing people in wheelchairs / prams or kids having to go onto the road to get by. It was agreed the Parish council would write to Point safety Ltd and ask for more considerate parking.

80/25 To Receive update from WLB Councillors & LC Councillor

  • Cllr DeFreitas gave PC an update on Green Lanes
  • Council tenants have complained with issues regarding new kitchens taking up to 5 weeks to be fitted.
  • Possible that Caunce Avenue houses are needing new roofs

  • Planning for Long lane still to go into planning

  • No Update

83/25 Christmas Event / Lights 

  • Parish council agreed for Lawrance Baxter to be Safety Manager for 2026 Banks Christmas market

85/25 Parish Plan

  • Parish council have agreed we need to look at a new Parish Plan this is to stay on the agenda

86/25 Car Park Hoole Lane

  • Car park on Hoole lane has reverted to St Stephens club as per lease agreement
