Public Participation
- Three members of the public were present
- Two were there to discuss the Breakfast Club proposition (see below)
69/19 Apologies
- Cllr O’Hare had submitted an apology due to illness
70/19 Declarations of Interest
- Cllr Douglas because of a Planning issue
71/19 Minutes of the previous meeting
- Approved
72/19 Police Report (verbal)
- Clerk read out letter he had sent to Commissioner in respect of no police attending our meetings
- We await a response
- Meantime, not present
73/19 Clerk’s Report
- Papers for ‘C’ scheme submitted to WLBC
- VAT Return submitted
- Insurance claim submitted to Zurich
- Letter sent to WLBC in respect of Travellers – Clerk asked to chase
- Resignation letter received from Clerk
- Clerk cannot commit to giving extra time that will be necessary to undertake extra works in connection with Leisure Centre
- He had identified possible replacement although position needs to be advertised
- Clerk to take forward accordingly
74/19 Finance
- List circulated
- Suggested we review grass cutting contract in the new year – clerk to diarise accordingly
- Agreed that payments of Accounts since the last meeting are ratified and invoices now presented on the payment schedule are approved and cheques signed by authorised signatories accordingly
75/19 Correspondence for Information
- Schedule of correspondence received circulated to all councillors
76/19 To discuss possibility of utilising Community Centre for breakfast club/health club venue
- Letter received promoting possible venue for new venture
- Not an immediate requirement given alternative venue has now been identified
- Could return to us if popular and second venue required
- Cllr Blane suggested we offer an initial two months ‘free’ to help promote this venture
- We await further developments but appears we are, in principle, in agreement to support proposition
77/19 To discuss requirements in respect of playground improvements
- Quote received from Yates Playgrounds following visit by Yates and Clerk
- Total £7,835 plus VAT for various suggestions
- Cllrs Abram & Douglas to undertake site visit to view what is required and what we could do ourselves to take forward requirements
- To remain as an agenda item for forthcoming meetings
78/19 To receive reports and recommendations from Members representing the Council on working groups and outside bodies
- Corporate Planning
- Cllr Abram suggested ‘Thank You’ letters be sent out to volunteers who helped with clean up exercise
- Cllr Abram to provide names and addresses to clerk to do said letters

- Cllr Hames reported that there is a PPG meeting at Community Centre 10 October (1.00 pm)

- Cllr Blane not happy with situation in respect of various planning matters
- Clerk to write to WLBC setting out our objections in this respect

- Meeting arranged for 10 October at Community Centre (6.30 pm) to progress CIC requirements
