  • Cllr Abram declared interest with The Hub and left the room when this was discussed 

19/24 Minutes of the previous meeting 14th May 2024

20/24 Police Report 

  • Cllr Howard invited police to attend but they were unavailable this month

21/24 Clerk’s Report/Progress Report on decisions taken at last meeting and any urgent decisions.

Agreed that payments of Accounts since the last meeting are ratified and invoices now presented on the payment schedule are approved and authorised by signatories accordingly for BACS payment,

23/24  To receive a proposition that year end budget turn out report is received and noted

24/24  To receive a proposition the ‘Annual Governance Statement’ 2023/24 is ratified and that the Chairman and Clerk are authorised to sign denoting approval

25/24  To receive a proposition the ‘Accounting Statement’ 2023/24 is ratified and that the Chairman and Clerk are authorised to sign denoting approval

26/24  Emails / What’s App Msg Sent to Councillors Apr / May 24

  • Nothing to report

27/24 The Hub

  • Volunteers from the Hub requested possible short-term loan £5000.00 for trust.
  • Cllr Howard proposed, and this was agreed

28/24 To receive reports and recommendations from Members representing the Council on working groups and outside bodies.

  • New post office staff member as Sue is retiring, Grounds need tending to clerk to arrange for Skip hire.
  1. Hesketh Ave (CCTV)
  • Quote for new CCTV and extra camera approved.
  1. Health Issues (Cllr Hames)
  • Cllr Hames informed PC that new staff at doctor’s surgery are settling in well

  1. Village Issues (Grass cutting)
  • Grass need cut at bus stop church road / Fleetwood drive
  • Cllr Howard going to contact LCC to see who is responsible for that area of grass

  • Clerk presented quote and descriptions of different notice boards 
  • Size 8 in green with gold writing for outside the Co-Op Cllr Abram is going to check that this size will fit where Co-Op have said we can place one.

33/24 Tree Roots outside St Stephen’s Primary

  • PC agreed to cover the cost to remove the tree roots.

34/24 Spids

  • Banks road Spid going up in the next week
