NORTH MEOLS PARISH COUNCIL

 

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 13 May 2014, at 7.15 pm at Banks Community Centre, Hoole Lane.

You are hereby summoned to attend

 

Prior to the monthly meeting, there will be the ‘Annual Parish Meeting’

 

Prior to the business of the meeting there will be a session for public participation, limited to Parish Council issues.

 

(The Clerk to be informed of any urgent items prior to the meeting).

           

‘Public Voice’ will continue so as to allow members of the public to give information relevant to a specific agenda item.

 

1.         Apologies:To receive apologies and to approve reasons for absence.

 

2.        Declarations of Interest.

a. Register of Interests: Councillors are reminded of the need to update their                   register of interests.

b. To declare any disclosable pecuniary interests (DPI) or non-pecuniary interests in items on the agenda and their nature. (Councillors with DPIs must leave the meeting for the relevant items).

           

3.         Minutes: To consider the approval of the minutes of the meeting of the Council held on 8 April 2014 (enclosed).

 

4          To discuss and update in respect of proposals from CAB, Food Bank, and Post Office utilisation of Community Centre.

 

5          Police Report (verbal)

 

6          Clerk’s progress report on decisions taken at the last meeting.

 

7          Clerk’s report on any urgent decisions taken since the last meeting.

 

8          Finance

  • To consider payments to be made as on list attached

 

9          Correspondence for Information.

To note the enclosed appendix of items, which will be available should anyone request any specific item.

           

10      To discuss how to utilise Section 106 monies held or due – agreed at a previous meeting  that this would be held as an agenda item on an ongoing basis

 

11        To discuss developments in respect of car park with St Stephens

 

12        To discuss Council requirements for Website representation.

 

13        To discuss renewal of insurance cover with annual review due early May 2014

 

14        To discuss expiring Fixed Price Business Electricity Plan for E-on accounts for Aveling Drive and Community Centre

 

15        To discuss requirements following receipt of quote to line out new car park at Community Centre

 

16        To discuss the ‘Audit Commission Annual Return Section One (Accounting Statement) and Section Two (Governance Statement)’ is approved as presented and that the Chairman is authorised to sign the document

 

17        Each Councillor is requested to use this opportunity to report minor matters of information not included elsewhere on the agenda, on the appropriate form, and to raise items for future agenda. (Councillors are respectfully reminded that this is not an opportunity for debate or decision making).

 

18        To receive any reports and recommendations from Members representing the Council on working groups/outside bodies.

            To note inspection reports.

19        To receive an update from West Lancashire Borough Councillor

 

20        Planning.

To consider the weekly list of planning applications, to note any decisions made, and any other planning matters brought to the notice of the Parish Council as detailed on the list attached

 

21       Date of next meeting

To confirm the date and location of the next meeting scheduled for 10 June 2014.
