01/25 Apologies

02/25 Prior to the start of the monthly meeting the Annual Meeting was held

  • Cllr Abram was elected Chairman
  • Cllr Howard was elected as Vice Chairman
  • Working Groups were elected as at present 
  • Finance working Group as Cllr Lennon, Cllr Lewis, Cllr Gresty, Clerk
  • Events working Group as Cllr Lewis and Cllr Gresty
  • Internal Auditor was confirmed as Mr N Leadbetter
  • Agreement was reached to continue to meet on the second Tuesday each month with an annual recess in August

Agreed that payments of Accounts since the last meeting are ratified and invoices now presented on the payment schedule are approved and authorised by signatories accordingly for BACS payment,

08/25  Emails / What’s App Msg Sent to Councillors Apr / May 25

  • Cllr Abram and Cllr Howard have agreed to be the named Cllr’s for Cadent paperwork
  • Email from MOP regarding use of 44 Hoole car park for craft fair was discussed and decided due to size and safety also access required for the business use there it would not be appropriate Cllrs did offer the suggestion of using the Hub’s car park as more space and not as close to the main busy road. Clerk to email reply to MOP 

09/25 To receive reports and recommendations from Members representing the Council on working groups and outside bodies.

  • New Front door due to fitted
  1. Hesketh Avenue
  • Cllr’s have agreed to stay with current contract for grounds maintenance – John Fewtrel Gardening Services Limited and will review at the end of this year for next season.
  1. Health Issues
  • Doctors surgery are making an application for funding / grants to improve services in the area
  1.   Health & Safety
  • Clerk to look at quotes for replacing the roof on the pavilion on Aveling Drive

10/25 To Receive update from WLB Councillors & LC Councillor

  • The highways masterplan should be coming out soon
  • Cllr DeFreitas asked for list that PC sent to previous County Councillor

11/25 Future Spending Plans and Projects

  • Nothing to report

12/25 Fleetwood Farm

  • PC to send another letter to planning.

13/25 Discuss Aveling Drive

  • PC Noted that new local plan is going to be completed by the end of 2028

14/25 The Big Lunch 

  • Volunteers are required for leaflet drop and to assist on the day
  • Volunteers underway with raffle prizes
  • Still some tables available to book
